COIN OPERATED TURNSTILES

Coin Operated Turnstiles & Access Entry Systems

Coin Operated Turnstiles are the best needed equipment where revenue generation and access control works in tandem. Coin Operated Turnstiles use the coin interceptor instead of reader.

Turnstile is essentially an access control. It helps in to control entry and exit at the desired locations and due to this reason we call turnstiles as pedestrian control systems. The access to locations can be controlled manually or electronically. Usually manual controls are used in residential buildings while as electronic controls are used at commercial buildings.

Several techniques are used to integrate and operate the turnstiles in the controlled manner. It can be adding the basic RFID access control readers, biometric devices or coin interceptors for entry & exit. The choices for the integration are on the basis of site requirements.

The RFID & biometric access controls allows to use the turnstiles as the basic access control gates, it can be site visitors are provided the RFID cards on each site visit on basis of approval by the site supervisor or concerned authorities. This way the record is maintained as visitor versus entry & exit time. Every time the visitor visits the site, the temporary RFID card is issued valid for one entry and one exit. And in permanent cases for high profile locations, the face recognition system is used for entry and exit control.

The coin interceptors are used at some location where revenues can be generated by authorities and business establishments for each entry and exit. The coin interceptors ignite the relays after detected certain programmed number of coins and all these coins are stored in the coin box and can be collected every day as on basis. The coin interceptors can of two types either local currency detector or RFID readers. In case of RFID coins, the coins are issued by cashier or vending machine against the payment of
particular amount.
